Details:
When the Octave GUI starts, I expect the keyboard focus to be on the command
window so the user can start typing commands right away. This is how it has
been for several releases, and has been until recently on the default branch.
Now I can't tell where the keyboard focus is set initially, no amount of
tabbing or arrow keys or other have indicated where keyboard events are being
received. But clicking on the command window or entering Ctrl+0 returns focus
to the command window as expected.
