[Octave-bug-tracker] [bug #53241] .gdbinit macros for Octave debugging no longer work

Follow-up Comment #3, bug #53241 (project octave):

Octave's make just copies $(srcdir)/etc/gdbinit into $(toplevel)/.gdbinit and
into $(toplevel)/test/.gdbinit. It is only in the build tree for the purposes
of debugging using the run-octave wrapper. It is not installed anywhere by
'make install'.
