Follow-up Comment #1, bug #53286 (project octave):
I would guess it is a problem with your particular setup. Make sure you have
old octave files mixed up with the new ones.
When you build, make a clean hg clone, bootstrap, etc...
Also, what is you "hg id" (you can check it on octave prompt
as __octave_config_info__ ("hg_id") ).
I run a recent dev version of octave daily and I have not seen this problem
and cannot reproduce it.
