Follow-up Comment #32, bug #53276 (project octave):
Oh yeah, the changeset attached in the previous post is against tip, Philip.
So you won't need to update to previous versions. But note that there has
been a very recent change in the meaning of "run-octave", i.e., "octave"
without any options. Must run "octave --gui" now to get the GUI, and if one
accidentally continues using "run-octave &" there is a confounding bug in
which an active copy of Octave sits in the background:
