Is this report a duplicate of bug #53056?
What happens when you print to PDF? Does the linewidth look okay at that
point? If this is only onscreen rendering then it is probably bug #53056.
The default linewidth is set my Matlab compatibility and is 0.5 points. See
http://www.mathworks.com/help/matlab/ref/matlab.graphics.primitive.line-properties.html.
