Follow-up Comment #2, bug #53630 (project octave):
Oh, other's are seeing this too. I thought this was something to do with
Mageia when I was looking at another bug. Here's a screen shot from Bug
#53276:

Note where I annotated "tiny wrong font". The peculiar font is in the Command
Window and in the Variable Editor as well, if one looks closely.
