Follow-up Comment #23, bug #53737 (project octave): OK, thanks. Glad that one wasn't too bad. I see in the link you posted that <length> appears a few times and there is a further link to its definition https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/SVG/Content_type#Length which includes a <number> and further down on that page is the definition of <number> which can be at least an integer or a floating point specification, and in SVG attributes engineering notation is allowed.
