A few questions:
Which version of instrument-control,
what hg tag was the dev version of octave used.
Was instrument control cinstalled/compiled for that specic version of octave,
or was installed using prior versions of octave.
What kind of data/how much data was being sent vs how much was the sript
trying to read.
