I'm not too worried about it, but I see something like this:
>> tic; a = ones (1e4, 1); b = ones (1, 1e5); toc
Elapsed time is 0.000144958 seconds.
>> tic; kron (a, b); toc
Elapsed time is 4.97241 seconds.
>> tic; kron (a, b); toc
