Follow-up Comment #11, bug #54231 (project octave):

Dan, thanks for testing.

OP:

The message ("ggg unknwon, should it be created?") appears when the yellow
"program counter" (PC) should be drawn. This is thescenario described in the
OP: Setting the breakpoint on "ggg(8)" and when program is interrupted there,
then "step into". Since the file "ggg" is not known, there is no way to open
the file at the desired line. 

A solution might be to get these informations from the working thread when
entering debugging or to completely parse the file again in the gui thread.
