Follow-up Comment #34, bug #54396 (project octave):
A new release candidate (source and Windows binaries) is now available.
Here's a direct link for the Windows installer:
http://alpha.gnu.org/gnu/octave/octave-4.4.1-rc2-w64-installer.exe
It would be helpful if the original reporter could try this and say whether
the performance is better now and whether printing works.
