Follow-up Comment #22, bug #48881 (project octave): Tatsuro - I looked at the config.log that you posted to the mailing list. You have a second copy of Qt 5 installed with anaconda that is on your user PATH. This is conflicting with the Qt 5 installed by Ubuntu. I would recommend that you remove anaconda from the PATH environment and try configuring and building Octave again.
