Follow-up Comment #1, bug #54813 (project octave):
Can you please try to archive (.zip) your folder with the current Octave
settings (should be c:\Users\YourUsername\.config\octave\) and then delete
it?
Octave should then recreate the files with default settings.
If this works for you, you might append your created archive so we can check
if there is something suspicious in your settings.
