Follow-up Comment #19, bug #55646 (project octave): Thanks for following up with the results. So this is similar to a GNU/Linux system with /tmp mounted as a separate filesystem with the 'noexec' mount option. The package is successfully downloaded, unpacked, and can run configure, but it errors when attempting to run a test executable compiled in that temporary directory.
