Follow-up Comment #15, bug #42136 (project octave):

@cbm I see about the same on my Debian system as on your Fedora, slightly
worse alignment on the line with the 'e', slightly more space between rows so
vertical bars look more like dashed lines, and yes the slashes are completely
missing. All of which is much better in a terminal, except for the space
between rows.

@mmuetzel If you're referencing the missing slash symbols, it's not the font,
it's the same behavior in the Octave command window (on GNU/Linux) with
multiple fonts, all of which do show the characters when the same unicode text
is displayed in a terminal or another text editor, even in the Octave editor.
