Follow-up Comment #40, bug #56232 (project octave):

It would also be fine with me if we detect an exactly singular matrix and just
return an appropriately sized sparse matrix filled with Inf.  You could easily
run out of memory.  But you should be prepared for that anyway if you are
inverting a sparse matrix since that operation doesn't preserve sparsity,
correct?
