Follow-up Comment #6, bug #56454 (project octave): > Any hints out there? Are you looking for a hint other than "use octave.bat"? Because I believe running the .exe files directly on Windows is not supported. It is agreed that certain environment variables and settings must be done before running the programs, and that is the reason for the .bat and .vbs scripts.
