I noticed the mix-up afterwards. 
Nevertheless, it yields the same if switched- longitudes extended a far beyond
bbox edges, whereas latitude is nigh alright. 
Could be because most of the railway tracks as W-E in Bulgaria, hence it
doesn't want to cut them..?
