Follow-up Comment #11, bug #57319 (project octave): Probably worth bringing this up on the Octave Maintainer's list. And maybe it is worth checking how Matlab handles the example in comment #10. This is probably only tangentially related, but Matlab does not allow addlistener to be called with "TightInset" as the property.
