[Octave-bug-tracker] [bug #57370] (mxe-octave) run issues after binutils update

Follow-up Comment #1, bug #57370 (project octave):

I updated to the newer version because the old version failed to work with gcc
9.2.0 for native builds.

If we revert to the older binutils, we should probably also revert to an older
gcc that plays nicely together with that version.

I'll probably be able to check if I can reproduce later today or during the
weekend.
