Summary: what() reports a directory ending in ".m" as an
m-file script
                 Project: GNU Octave

                Category: Octave Function
                Severity: 3 - Normal
                Priority: 5 - Normal
              Item Group: Incorrect Result
                  Status: Confirmed
             Assigned to: None
         Originator Name:
        Originator Email:
             Open/Closed: Open
         Discussion Lock: Any
                 Release: dev
        Operating System: Any

Steps to reproduce:

1) Create a directory in the pwd with "mkdir myfolder.m"
2) run-octave
3) what

This is clearly incorrect and caused by the fact that there is only a check on
the name of the object returned by readdir rather than a second check that it
is a file.
