Update of bug #56571 (project octave):
Category: Octave Forge Package => Plotting with OpenGL
Severity: 3 - Normal => 2 - Minor
Priority: 5 - Normal => 3 - Low
Item Group: Incorrect Result => Performance
Status: None => Need Info

Follow-up Comment #3:
FWIW, I get no warning message with the example code (with Octave 5 or 6), I
just get a very slowly responding system and an empty figure window (on
Debian). In my case, it looks like the OpenGL driver says that it can support
the requested size, but it never actually renders anything.
Unclear to me whether this is something that can be addressed with more
automatic checks, warning messages, documentation, or can't be addressed.
