Update of bug #58008 (project octave):

                  Status:               Confirmed => Works For Me           


Follow-up Comment #4:

The original example works fine if you use

mm = textscan (fid, 'literal%s;literal%s', 'Delimiter', ';')

This seems to me like the right call. I don't see why it should be expected to
work with a space in the literal pattern string.
