Follow-up Comment #83, bug #57635 (project octave):

You hit it, I can confirm this with the main window minimized. The conclusion
is that the main window must get the focus when the editor window is hidden. I
have not yet found what fixes the shortcuts during the change of focus between
editor and main window. The only solution will be to trigger this pro
grammatically.
