Follow-up Comment #93, bug #57635 (project octave): In https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-83720 they have now announced Qt 5.15.1 as fix version. However, the patch is already available on the head of the Qt repository. It fixes void QWidget::setFocusProxy(QWidget * w). Because 5.15.1 is far in the future, I have merged the patch into the faulty version 5.13.2. Then built Qt and then built Octave against the patched 5.13.2. Result: All errors have disappeared (closing tab problem and the autocompletion trouble). My conclusion is that open source is harder than commercial software. In commercial software, you can decide which library version is statically linked and delivered with the executable. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?57635> _______________________________________________ Message sent via Savannah https://savannah.gnu.org/
