Follow-up Comment #7, bug #58466 (project octave): I'm guessing, it might be the hdf libraries. It might be enough to find and delete all files in usr/[target]/lib that contain *hdf* and re-build hdf5 (touch src/hdf5.mk). No guarantees this will work though. Also I'm typing this from memory.
