Follow-up Comment #2:

Closing report.  This just looks like slowness with sending the 3.6 million
figures through a pager and then to the screen.  Also, version 4.4.1 of Octave
is deprecated and no longer supported.  I can't remember, but it is possible
that Ctrl+C did not work well on Windows with that version.
