Follow-up Comment #27, bug #53513 (project octave):
@Markus: I have not had much time to dig further into this issue lately.
Basically, the changes in the patch from comment #24 are already implemented
in the current sources but this approach is not reliable due our mutexes being
recursive: doing a single "gh_manager::unlock ()" does not leave the mutex
unlocked if it had been locked twice. This demonstrated by bug #58678.
