Follow-up Comment #54, bug #58957 (project octave): Removing the tests doesn't prevent the function from crashing Octave. Would it instead (or additionally) be possible for the function to emit an error if the second input argument is "render"? I understand if you don't want to make that change in your released version because it seems to be a Windows-only bug. But we could apply a changeset to your sources in MXE Octave. It would be best if you could provide a changeset that applies on top of the latest released version. Please, let me know if you don't agree.
