Details:

In the GUI environment, forward-word and backward-word commands are shadowed
by menu shortcuts: Alt-F triggers File menu and Alt-B triggers Debug menu.
These two movement commands are essential when editing scripts in Command
Window. A possible fix is to add an option turning off menu shortcuts when
Command Window is focused.
