Details:

The function lsqcurvefit in optim package worked fine (with the default octave
version (ver 4.2.2) which comes with the ubuntu 18.04 LTS), but after
upgrading octave to last stable version (6.1.0) (using flatpak), I encounter
problems with lsqcurvefit. The exact same function and numbers entered the two
versions of octave. See attached error message.
