Follow-up Comment #14, bug #59923 (project octave):
And sure enough, rebuilding everything from scratch did fail (on
graphicsmagick fwiw).
I'm currently trying with the attached alternative patch in MXE Octave. It
isn't pretty. But I hope it will do the trick.
