Follow-up Comment #50, bug #60818 (project octave): patch of latest version attached. I had already made some changes to drop memory use a bit. used ~ on lu outputs for all but u and p. then 'reused' eqs instead of u, got rid the one reordered tri index variable. i think it dropped mem usage by ~10%, but the big memory jumps are still when forming eqs and running lu.
