Follow-up Comment #14, bug #63646 (project octave):

At n=400, I got "GL2PS info: OpenGL feedback buffer overflow warning:
gl2ps_renderer::draw: retrying with buffer size: 8.4E+06 B"; I did not want
that to skew profiling, so dropped the size to 333. I do not see any other
errors/warnings. 

For the reference, the timings (for n=400) are: original -- 360 sec, patched
-- 2.85 sec.
