Yes, the change should be reverted.

TMW considers the introduction of conjugation to be a bug, and I just happened
to stumble on one of the 3 affected releases ...

we could add a heads-up in the complex case, if the user wants a result
c=cross(a,b) that satisfies orthogonality dot(a,c)=dot(b,c)=0, user should
conjugate c.
