I kind of dropped the MinGW build now that Micheal is doing the MSVC
build. Perhaps with proper configuration it might be possible to use
Micheal's build scripts with just the compiler replaced with MinGW if it
is important to also support MinGW, but there will still be the issue of
the corrupted strings, particularly in error messages, with MinGW..

In any case, I'm a bit over committed at the moment and would be happy
if someone else took over support of MinGW if possible..
