The FAQ is so out of date it should be thrown out and restarted. A patch
 question by question I feel is a lot of effort for no particular
benefit. At least for the overall update proposed originally by Etienne
early last year..

I took a look back through the mail archives (thanks nabble) and found
all of the messages at this end of this post. The major ones are the one
from Etienne and my modification of this later in the year. However, I
believe from what Etienne said to me off list that he sent you an
updated version off list and so even though my version of the patch was
based on Etienne's there are probably a few changes in the version
Etienne sent you privately. There are a couple of messages that I dug up
as well with smaller proposed changes...

I propose that Etienne comments on his updated version of the FAQ and he
and I merge our update in to a single contribution and then we can apply
the other smaller patches one by one.. There are probably a few other
changes for recent improvements in the graphics as well.
