If you want, I'll describe the days of waiting around for a seat to open 
for a chance to use a PDP-11/70 or VAX then stand in line to get a 
curled-up printout from a Calcomp plotter to paste in one's hand-written 
lab report.  It won't help, but it might make your students feel less 
anxiety.
