Also, can we be careful not to disturb the user's environment? I
noticed, for example, that in the tests for whitebg.m there are
lines like
set (0, "defaultaxescolor", [1 1 1])
which sets a global preference that may be different from what the
user has set. There is no code to save/restore the current
settings so the user's environment is altered by running the
tests.
