I just realized that you're also using 64bits arch. So you might have similar
problems as reported by John, Martin or Kai, except that in your case the
compiler didn't complain.

That's a reasonable conclusion.

I've been unsuccessful with getting the debug stuff to work. I'll read thru the comments on 64bit.
