Everyone calls it GUI. Our most popular current competitor is called
"OctaveGUI", not "OctaveIDE". People go on Google looking for an
Octave GUI, not an IDE. The very term "IDE" is a nerd term used by
hackers. Our target audience thinks of itself as "not a programmer",
so they wouldn't think they need an integrated development environment
either. They want a GUI, and they're looking for a GUI, and I don't
see a reason to try to "educate" them by calling it an IDE.
