98fc95793699+ tip builds fine for me.
Have you run ./bootstrap (see latest configure.ac changes) and
./configure befor make? Regards, Andy

I thought I had (make maintainer-clean + bootstrap + configure)...

but I will do it all over again just in case, thanks for answering.
