Does the --no-gui option when launching octave have the same broken pipe issue?

No problem in no-gui octave.

 

I also just noticed that in non-gui mode it would launch gnuplot_x11.

If I set GNUTERM=qt than the problem show up even with non-gui octave.

 

And if I set GNUTERM=wxt (or x11) and launch gui-octave it works just fine.
