Please join me in welcoming the 4 students who were accepted to improve Octave under Google Summer of Code this year. See [1] for their names and project topics.

Special thanks to our volunteer mentors, who will be advising them through the summer.

Indeed, special thanks to Nir who always seems to get us organized, with the applications submitted on time, and with enough interesting project choices that we always seem to have a few students accepted.
