Follow-up Comment #3, patch #8670 (project octave):

I don't have access to MATLAB right now. I will on June 3. At that time, I'll
take a look at this again to see what the MATLAB implementation does
differently. MACD is pretty simple, so there's not much they could have done
differently. But they may have adopted a different convention for the first 25
samples.
