Follow-up Comment #3, patch #9024 (project octave):

Symlinking pager.h in liboctave/util from lininterp/corefcn (a dirty hack) +
fixing the FAILED hunk made the build continue and it works on Mageia-5.
I can say that I like the result.

Too bad it doesn't cross-build with mxe-octave (with pager.h copied into
liboctave/util):
