Details:

Matlab comes with a bunch of data files. These are specially nice for demos,
tests, and documentation examples. Octave comes with almost none which means
that those need to start with not so obvious code to generate input data. This
means they are more difficult to write and also to understand.

I think it would be nice if we could have the same as Matlab, at least part of
them.  A subset of them are not copyrighted by Mathworks so we could include
at least those in Octave. I will start this thread to discuss including each
of them.
