@Carne: Should we finalize this? I think what is still missing is:
* adding my new tests for even sized neighborhoods from comment #17
* adding your Nd support from comment #10 (

) which I liked (see comment #18 and comment #16 ), including your other
improvements in this bitbucket patch
** better add a sentence to the help string like: "(For RGB input images you
might change this neighborhood to [3 3 1].)" (see my comment #11 )
** should we also include your other changes from the "wiener2-nd" branch on
your bitbucket repo?

Or are there more issues still open (maybe from your comment #10 ) ?
