####You should probably update http://www.gnu.org/doc/other-free-books.html/,
and perhaps http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/free-doc.html/
Thanks for writing. I took a brief look and saw that many of the books are
under Creative Commons licenses—but there are many CC licenses that are not
free. If you have the time to go through their list of titles on that page and
compare the licenses to http://www.fsf.org/licensing/licenses/ and send us a
list of the free titles, we will update our books page to list the books that
are actually free.

+###[I want to start a project, but] don't have the legal skills to avoid a
patent infringement. I doubt if I could afford the legal defense of such a
wealthy corporation. (Some of the juicier patents do expire soon though.)
+
+(...) Regarding patent infringement, we understand your concerns---in fact,
+*nobody,* not even the biggest companies, have the resources to avoid
+unintentional patent infringement completely. We generally suggest that
+developers not worry about infringing patents until they have a very
+specific reason to believe that a particular patent holder might attack
+them. If that happens, the Software Freedom Law Center
+(http://softwarefreedom.org/) can help defend free software developers.
