The suspense is killing me.  What is this CMS independent open source
ICC profile tool?  Are you referring to argyll?

Argyll (http://web.access.net.au/ argyll /argyll cms .html ), littleCMS (http://www.littlecms.com) or the code posted on the ICC website (http://www.color.org).
